How I work my approach

As a humanistic, Person-centred counsellor, I aim to create a warm, trustworthy relationship in which my clients can feel free and supported to disclose whatever is troubling them. I will help you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, so you can become more self-aware and achieve greater independence. I offer short term and long term counselling depending on your needs. I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space where you can address your concerns, I will work with you to facilitate a process of change.

My Background

Before training as a counsellor, I operated within the mental health field, which gave me an insight into the challenges experienced by adults and children, I worked as a community coach, providing targeted support to families and individuals in crisis. Helping youth offenders and teenage parents; facing a range of issues such as eviction, domestic violence, child protection issues, mental health issues, debt management, drug and alcohol issues, disability and parenting issues.

Both my personal and professional experiences contributed to my choice of practising counselling and in particular specialising in bereavement & anxiety. My clients have described me as authentic, and approachable (See what clients say about me)
